Banyoles celebrates its 10th birthday.
Last Thursday, 8th October, the official
language school of Banyoles celebrate its 10th birthday. The school
organised a meeting in Auditorium L’Ataneu, Banyoles at 6:00 pm. A lot of
important people such as the major of the town, or even a university professor
were invited to this event.
Since the beginning of the meeting, the people were transmitting a lot
of good vibes and energy and everyone was happy to be part of this project.
First of all Annie Gili, the principal of the school,
talked about the great progress the school has done throughout these ten years,
and she gave a positive evaluation about these years teaching, also she
recognised the huge support received from the students who chose to learn
languages in Banyoles instead of going to Girona.
The director of the Educational department in Girona
and neighbour of Banyoles, Albert Bayot, emphasized on new projects and he gave
importance to the introduction and promotion of other languages to improve the
cultural level of Banyoles.
The mayor of Banyoles, Miquel Noguer, in relation to
what Albert Bayot has just said, congratulated and encouraged the teachers to
keep up the level of English and French in the town. He was very satisfied with
their job.
At the end of the celebration, Sebastià Serrano, a
professor at Barcelona University, talked about the importance and evolution of
communication in our millennium, known as the communication age.
All in all, the celebration was successful, the school
teachers were glad to see that their job has given some good results, and they
realised that the people of the town recognise and give support to their
effort.
